The Literate Bear is excited to announce the launch of our new sister company The Literate Dog Gourmet Dog Bakery featuring fresh baked-to-order vegetarian Gourmet Dog Treats made with the finest certified Organic and Natural ingredients from U.S. suppliers.  All gourmet dog treats are baked fresh for each order, hand rolled, hand cut and contain no added sugar, salt, soy, preservatives or colorings.  Wheat Free and Corn free treats coming soon.

Currently shipping to Illinois Addresses Only

The Literate Dog is licensed with the Illinois Department of Agriculture as a Feed Distribution and Manufacturing Facility (Reg. # 7406-0).  All of our Gourmet Dog Treats are registered with the Illinois Department of Agriculture.  

Strict regulations set forth by most states regarding the sale and distribution of pet food products requires that pet food manufacturers and distributors be licensed within any states they are shipping their products into and in most cases their products must be registered in those states.  We are fully licensed and registered within the State of Illinois and can process orders to ship our Gourmet Dog treats to any Illinois address.  As our business expands The Literate Dog intends to register and license in additional states, however we currently cannot process orders to ship Gourmet Dog Treats to addresses outside of Illinois.  Items other than our fresh baked Gourmet Dog Treats can be shipped to any state.
